Happy Christmas

Well, after the sad news of Grandma, we have all just had a wonderful Christmas, which she would have been sitting on her star (as austin likes to think of her) watching us all making sure we were having fun, and we were.

The boys had a great time, Austin still hasn't got round to playing with it all, and Edward could stll be eating all the paper if we had let him LOL.

Hope you all had a great time too. Looking forward to reading your comments, here's some pics for you.

Edith May Drew

On the left is an LO I did of my Grandma, using the very 1st photos ever taken of her, and above is one of the last photos ever taken of her, and the 3 subsequent generations.
The reason for this Blog entry, is that the wonderful strong lady pasted away tonight ages 93, yes that's right 93. She had a hard life when she was bringing up 4 small children after the war, but when things became easier for her she had a wonderful life and has left all her Grandchildren wonderful memories of her. Some of my strongest memories are playing outside her house on the little wall, the 'scary' lamp shades in the small bedroom, so she always slept with me, her making me eat porridge for breakfast, and the smell of her baking Rock Buns, Hey Guy she always had to put icing on them for you. Rock Buns just aren't the same without icing. Still every now and again I smell something and it reminds me of Grandma's kitchen, suppose tha's another LO in the making.
I don't really know what else to write, but I just had to write something. Love you Grandma, we will never forget you xxxx

LegoLand Finally

Well after all that rain on Sunday we decided not to go to Legoland but find a nicer day to go, so Tuesday came the forecast was wet in the morning but much better in the afternoon, so wee took the bull by the horns and went for it. I'm so glad we did it was fantastic Austin didn't know which bit to do first. I was a great day out I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I had some really exciting news from a friend who I haven't seen in a while, but still remains a very special friend, well, Jo's pregnant, and I can't be morepleased for her, I know it's something she has wanted for a long time, but now she's met the right man who will look after her and her little bean. Things are looking up now honey xx

more exciting news is that my friend Helen is launching her new photography venture, Her photographs are stunning, as you can see by my previous posts, so please keep your fingers crossed for that one too.

He's 6 Now and Very Proud Of It

WOW, I can't believe it, Where does time go!!!!! Well, he had a wonderful birthday with lots of lovely presents and lots of pennies. We had planned to go to Legoland, but the weather on Sunday was awful, so we have postponed it till a nicer day. But we went to my auntie Janets, they have a beautiful house in Weyhbridge, where Austin is thoroughly spoilt and loves to go!! We also went to see my Grandma, it was the first time the doctors had given her the all clear to see Edward so that we very special, although at times we had to remind her who he was, she was very excited to see him. Bless her, she's not bad for 93.
Well Austin now has the longest to wait for his next birthday, although he's already planning it LOL.

Look What I Can Do

Here the latest picture of Edward, now he can roll over, and get his head up, just too cute!!!!

Well it's been really busy here, Des has been away to Spain supposedly for work, but we all know he just loves a good old jolly!! Mean while I've been here chasing my own tail!!!
Austin's been having a few problems at school, I think he's just not coping well with the change from Reception to Y1 and all the play element has gone. He's now started to get into mischief and play up, The other thing that doesn't help is that he's a kenasthetic (not sure how you spell that) learner which means he learns through doing things and finds it very hard to just sit and listen, he has to fiddle with something, Which really irritates his teacher, but in my opinion she should know how to deal with this. But hopefully with lots of praise for the good things he does we are starting to turn a corner.
OK, Shall I get down off my soapbox now......
The good news is that I have been chosen to be part of a design team, Yes it's my scrapping again, but I'm so chuffed that someone thought that my work was good enough to be shown in their shop and website. So thank you very much to Ness at CraftyNess, hopefully, you'll see some of my work there soon.
The other good news I have is that my friends shop www.alteredtreasures.com is going an absolute storm, I have been busily helping her with all kinds of bits and bobs, the most exciting bit was the launch of the new altering kit and the scrapbooking kit, they are both so yummy I want them LOL.

Ok so I have been Tagged by Helen, the rules are to write 5 wired things about yourself or your pets and then tag 5 other people, so here it goes...
1. When I'm out walking with either my pram or someone who has a baby in a pram I have to be pushing it, I think it's a control thing.
2. Our dog Delilah, is just weird!!!!!
3. I have brought some beautiful Scrapping paper that I just can't bring myself to use, I know many other scrappers fell the same, but I just look at it and it's so lovely I just can't bring myself to cut it, or do anything to it.
4. Socks, Have to go on perfectly, the line has to be in exactly the right place, I'm afraid this one has rubbed off onto Austin too, still at the aged of nearly 6 I have to put his socks on because he always does it wrong and gets into a strop!!
5. My home looks like a bombsite, but when I was managing the nursery, my office was always immaculate.
So there you go 5 weird things about me, so I'm going to tag BOB from Little Cottage Crafts, Verdi From Little Cottage Crafts, and my team mate from UKS Suzie, sorry I don't know 5 ppl who blog.

There Helen that should have given you something to read.....

Another Year Older

OH WOW, well that's it for me, I had a great birthday, Thank you to everyone for all my wonderful cards and presents.
The Day started off great with some lovely presents from my boys, which included a beautiful locket with a pic of Austin and Edward in.
Then that afternoon I took the boys swimming with some friends of ours, Austin loves the water anyway, but it was Ted's 1st time and I think he will be a water baby just like his brother!!!!
We all went to some friends for a yummy dinner and drinkies (Thanks Fi and Lee) Well the drinkies went down very well especially the Cocktails YUM!!! Although those bears the next morning defiantly had size 12 hob nail boots on and they were having a party in my head, but hey ho at least we all had a good time!!!!!!

Marmalade??????

Kids say the funniest things, one morning eating my breakfast Austin says to me "Mummy why are you eating Honey and Carrots on your toast? Well things like that sick in our family and from now on Marmalade will always be Honey and Carrots!!! A moment to be scrapped if ever I heard of it!!!!

Well, I have been rather busy lately, not only with it being school holidays and having a 2 mth old baby, I've been helping out a very good friend Helen open her online shop www.alteredtreasures.com the best place on the web for all your scrapping and altering needs. Hope that was a big enough plug hun xxxx

Ted was a very brave boy last week, he had is 8 week injections, which didn't seem to phase him at all which was really good.

Austin has been an angel lately, I can't get over how her has adjusted to being a big brother, we've not had any jealousy he's very good with Edward!!!

Well that's me for now promise I wont take so long next time to post!! Love and hugs to you all xxx

Mundane Monday

Here are a few recent pics of my boys, bless 'em.
Photies were taken by a very good freind of mine, thanks Helen.

Well, the dog is now home after her little holidays at the in-laws. She went there whilst I was having Ted and adjusting to life with 2 children. But we spent all day yesterday, cleaning the house and making it DOG proof. I was very dubious about having her back, as she not the best behaved dog I've ever met, infact I never met one quite so naughty. But so far she has been an angel, I have stopped her from sleeping on my sofa's so she has a very comfy bed in the lounge with all of us and that's where she has spent most of her time, but we shall see if it continues..................
